How to use this card if you have Medicare Part D.
There are a couple ways to use the Card if you have Medicare D:
1. This Card can be used to discount non-formulary drugs (drugs not
covered by your plan). Non-formulary drugs are drugs not on a plan-approved
list.
2. Additionally, this Card can also be used to get a discount on drugs
while the Part D participant is in the Donut Hole!*
How to use this card if you are in the donut hole?
The card can be used to get discounts on medications while you are in the donut hole. Simply take the card into the pharmacy, along with your prescription, and receive savings of up to 75% (savings average around 30%).*
When not to use this card.
If you have Medicare Part D, and currently in the donut hole with no chance of getting out by year end, use of this card can save you money. However, if you are in the donut hole and will be eligible for catastrophic coverage by year end, you should not use this card as most insurance companies will not apply your savings to their plans.
*We advise people to review their drug spend and Part D plan specifics before using the UNARx Card. Some plans will not credit the scripts processed through UNARx Card as credit towards getting out of the donut hole. This will not apply to you if you will not be making it out of the donut hole during the plan year. It is important to know where you stand relative to annual drug spend and to know if you will make it out of the donut hole before the end of the year to make an educated decision.
