The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) promotes the interests of and provides services for professionals in audiology, speech-language pathology, and speech and hearing science. The National Stuttering Association (NSA) is the largest self-help support organization in the United States for people who stutter. The NSA provides information to parents, teens, adults, and educators. Its site has newsletters, booklets, and an Ask the Expert link.

The Stuttering Foundation provides resources, services, and support to people who stutter. Information also is available for families, friends, teachers, coworkers, and employers of someone who stutters. In addition, the foundation promotes research related to stuttering, as well as educational programs.
