The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) is a large nonprofit organization in the United States dedicated to the prevention of eating disorders. NEDA helps educate people with eating disorders and their families about their conditions and also provides information for health professionals. The organization's Web site will help you locate treatment referrals for anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and issues surrounding body image and weight.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) of the U.S. National Mental Health Information Center provides information about mental health through a toll-free telephone number, a Web site, and more than 600 publications. The National Mental Health Information Center was developed for people who use mental health services and for their families, the general public, policy makers, health professionals, and the media. Staff members respond to questions from the public and professionals. The staff directs callers to federal, state, and local organizations. The Information Center also has information on federal grants, conferences, and other events.
